By leveraging an industry that already exists, we can better challenge intractable issues like inequality through maximizing how, when, where, to what degree we give, and most importantly, who gives. How DO we drive funds FOR NONPROFITS?
BUS RENTAL REVENUE
In San Diego, a single 50 passenger limo bus generates an average of $10,000 dollars a month in rental revenue while only operating on the weekends. During prom season, this number quadruples. In the limo bus biz, the best model to describe the business of one bus can best be described by the 80 80 model. We know that one bus easily will generate at least $2k a week all year round barring natural disaster. Minus the 10 weeks of the prom season, the bus will make $80k that year. During this peak season, the bus will make the same $80k.
Bus rental services can be simplified into three rate categorizations, hourly, transfer, and prom or formal rates, and respectively range from $200 to $300 dollars an hour with a 4-hour minimum. Bus Rental Events vary from Bachelor Parties, Birthday Celebrations, Weddings, Club Transfers, Graduations, Concerts, and Corporate Bonding Excursions, etc. Additionally, we will explore producing branded events as we grow, as well as, providing transportation directly to affiliated nonprofits.
BUS ADVERTISING REVENUE
After initial inquiries and research with advertising agencies and official associations, our internally displayed digital space can generate up to $1.3 Million dollars a year in revenue. By adding interactivity and additional layers of complexity, advertisers will pay up to $80 to $125 dollars per rider. With a minimum of 4 to 6 fifty passenger movements a week, 200 to 300 riders can generate enough revenue to subsidize any of our philanthropic ambitions. We must be able to metric our rental movements, exposure rates, and demographic data to completely hold our value.
EVENT SPONSORSHIP
We want to provide the opportunity for socially conscious groups or motivated individuals to donate larger sums of money to create a ‘Perpetual Giving Machine’.
HOW DO WE DRIVE AWARENESS FOR NONPROFITS?
Affiliation with vetted nonprofits grants us the opportunity to present bus renters access to donate their bus rental revenue to the nonprofit or social innovation of their choosing. By presenting 5 nonprofits to the bus renters specifically outside of their own cause, we believe that the gamification and deferred engagement will force bus renters to investigate their giving options. Because they know that their cause will be presented to others, they will participate in the awareness process. Our follow up correspondence, as well as, in bus photo booth and social media integration make it possible to tag and track the progress of the bus renter’s commitment and exposure to causes outside of personal affiliation.
